Charlotte teaches Deep Flow Yoga. This is a flowing class, taken at a slower pace, to enable deep opening in postures, through the breath. Throughout, you will be building strength, increasing flexibility, working with balance and perfecting alignment. This will involve you frequently supporting your own body weight as you practice challenging postures such as inversions, back bends and arm balances. Each session will be themed, focusing on a particular area of the body, building up to an apex pose.
Carlton has maintained a keen interest in human movement, in particular physical, mental and spiritual well-being. This interest has led him to become passionate in yoga as a means of finding personal space for reflection and healing; in an attempt to manage some of the injuries picked during years of intensive training. Carlton has practiced in various styles of yoga, Bikram, Astanga, Flow, Dynamic, Power yoga. Forrest yoga proved to be a practice that combined many of his interests, a practice grounded in healing and well being but providing challenges at every level. Forrest yoga incorporates elements of Native American healing, encouraging students to go deep within and use their yoga practice as therapy. The intelligent sequencing of poses are designed to generate heat in the body to facilitate the release of toxins and emotions stored in the body. Carlton uses the Essence and Phenomenal to embody the essential elements of focus within his practice and in his teaching.
